Day 1: Lima - Trujillo
Afternoon flight arrival in Trujillo, reception and
escorted transfer to your selected hotel. The original Spanish capital of the
coastal cities, Trujillo was founded in 1535 and takes its name from the city in
Spain where Francisco Pizarro was born. Overnight.
Day 2: Chan Chan
Breakfast in the hotel. Escorted visit to the
largest adobe citadel in the world Chan Chan. Located in the Valley of
the Moche, it is the origin of the ancient coastal road across an arid and
desolate landscape. One immediately imagines colorful processions of people,
dignitaries, princes and the grand Chimu in his feathered and golden splendor,
the absolute and untouchable sovereign. Chan Chan was the political and
economic center of the Royal Kingdom of Chimu, the largest in Peru until
the Inca Empire. Early afternoon visit to the Bahia of Huanchaco, where you will
see the fishermen using their ancestral totora reed boats, which they ride like
horses. Lunch at a typical restaurant. Later this afternoon visit the Pyramids
of the Sun and the Moon with your local guide. Return to your hotel. Overnight.
Day 3: Trujillo - Lima
Breakfast in the hotel. Morning at leisure to stroll
around the beautiful Spanish Colonial city of Trujillo, visiting charming
streets and the beautifully preserved Plaza Real. Early afternoon
transfer to the airport for the flight to your next destination.
